So Riggo has gone and made it very personal on his attacks on Dan Snyder. I don't know how you can say that someone's heart is dark if you've never spent enough time w/ someone or if the person has never done anything truly horrible. Snyder might be going about it the wrong way but he's actually trying and swinging. As far as I know, he hasn't done anything to point him out as being scum o' the universe. You know how I hold Cohan personally responsible for the plight of the GSW for the last 2 decades or so. But these guys don't hold a candle to Donald Sterling, owner of the Clippers. He's just had a record settlement in a discrimination suit. He owns a ton and a half of property and has been accused of being a racist against anyone who isn't rich and white. If you've ever been in Southern California, you know that's a whole lot of people. He settled b/c the cost of the trial would have been greater. You could argue that your reputation as a human being is more important, especially if you're among the super duper rich. I know that we live in a litigenous society and saying that someone is grand poo bah of the klan based off of a court case is silly. But this isn't the first time that these accusations have surfaced about Sterling. I'm not spending the time to write this because I'm some sort human rights activist. I'm taking the time b/c there is very little publicity about this. I don't know how much time was spent on Limbaugh getting blocked from being an owner in the NFL b/c of his foolish comments on McNabb and his opinions on his radio show. Why isn't David Stern saying or doing anything about this? Why aren't the players or the players association saying anything about this? I don't have the numbers but I'm willing to guess that there are a number of players in the NBA or have friends/family members who grew up in housing tenements. Where is the outcry or at least an investigation of Sterling? If nothing else, I would love it if the court of public opinion would destroy him. Not just the usual, he's a cheapskate who doesn't care about the Clippers cries. I want the he only gives an F about you if you are the right skin color w/ $ in your pockets chants.
