So as we get into the stretch run of the college football season, the Gators, Sooners and Tide have their respective destinies in their own hands. At least that’s what everyone is saying. I’m saying that things aren’t too bad if the Wolverines have their first losing season in 40 years and the most losses ever. It’s not that I hate Ann Arbor; I just think that they got what they deserved for having to be #1, for having to beat the Buckeyes. I also think it’s good whenever the Irish lose b/c of having them stuffed down my throat for so many years on T.V. and having to listen to Holtz go on and on and on. I call it the “too much Braves on TBS” phenomenon. Cal sucks but at least they’re better than Stanfurd which means it’s been a good year to be a Bear. LSU lost which they should have against Troy. Sorry VDW, I thought that you’d have a chance at Roses if you beat the Penn State. It didn’t matter though. For the record, I honestly believe you have a better team than Cal. You just didn’t win. I’ll take the Spartans and the points next year.
On the plus side for Ann Arbor, they had a great win against UCLA. It's still too early for the Men's game but you have to give credit when it's due. I don't understand Loyola's logic in double teaming Stephon Curry whenever he was on the floor. He later asked how often you hold a future NBA star to zero points. I thought that you play to win the game. Somewhere out there, Herm Edwards is wondering why he didn't trademark that phrase.
