I can't believe that Hamels was stupid enough to say that he wanted the season to be over. Just plain dumb. You can't spin your way out of that unless you're drunk out of your mind. He should have broken down and started crying on the spot and say that he wasn't thinking straight w/ a new baby and blah blah blah. Instead, he's going to get pummelled if the the Phillies lose. These are the fans who've booed Santa and cheered when Irvin went down w/ a bad neck injury. Losing to New York makes it especially painful and more bitter too. It's funny how you can go from hero aka World Series MVP 2008 to potential goat 2009. I think that the Phils can get it to game 7 w/ Pettitte pitching on a few days rest. Make him work and he'll eventually tire and you can take advantage. Pedro has had his rest and isn't afraid of the NYC. I just don't know what you'll do in game 7. At least if it goes to 1 game, anything can happen. Good luck Ben. Pray for good weather so there will be no delays.
